(AINA) — The number of Christian girls abducted and coerced into converting to Islam since the Egyptian “January 25 Revolution” has skyrocketed, according to Father Filopateer Gamil of St. Mary’s Church in Giza. “More than two to three girls disappear everyday in Giza alone,” he said. “The cases that are brought to public attention are few compared to what the numbers actually are.”
Many Christians blame the military council for not intervening to put an end to this problem, which has escalated after the Revolution because of the “emergence of Muslim Salafists,” says activist Mark Ebeid, “who believe strongly that converting a Christian Infidel is in some ways like earning a ticket to paradise — not to mention the earthly remuneration they get from the Saudis.”

How many have actually converted and how many have simply said so in order to survive? Not that pretending is much better to those of us who are adults, but to these teenage girls, it may be seen as an out. If they truly believe in God, then it is not Allah they will pray to, no matter what public appearances they are forced to endure.

Mary, the problem is not just whether the girls feel they have actually been converted: once you are “converted”, then they claim they can do whatever the hell they want to them, as they are “now Muslim”, & that any interference is “bigotry”. Granted, they’re doing that when they kidnap these girls, but even they know how the difference can be exploited.

A religious conversion isn’t the only thing they’ll be forced to endure.
Now that Sharia Law has returned to Egypt, girls will be forced to endure arranged non-monogamous marriages. Female circumcisions (radical clitoridectomies) will once again become the norm, and “honor killings” will become increasingly common.
Make no mistake, it’s a very bad day for women. There are also more slaves today than at any point in human history, with women comprising the majority.
But the media won’t talk about that; they’d rather American women all unite and fight about gaining their free birth control pills and free abortions.
