U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder In a shameful display of arrogance, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder refuses any accountability in the “Fast and Furious” gun running scandal and blames racists for criticism.Of that group of critics, Mr. Holder said he believed that a few — the “more extreme segment” — were motivated by animus against Mr. Obama and that he served as a stand-in for him. “This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him,” he said, “both due to the nature of our relationship and, you know, the fact that we’re both African-American.” In addition, Holder refused to apologize to the families of U.S. law enforcement officials and Mexican citizens murdered as a result of the failed operation that put thousands of firearms in the hands of Mexican drug cartels. Eric Holder now admits that he gave false information to Congress when he led legislators to believe that that agents always intercepted illegally purchased firearms. “Attorney General Holder’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee earlier this month confirmed what I already believed: the Department’s Operation Fast and Furious and his mismanagement of the aftermath, including his unwillingness to hold people accountable, raise serious concerns about his ability to fulfill his duties as our nation’s top law enforcement officer,” Congressman Tim Griffin of Arkansas said in an email.
